Unseen Support by Samantha J Wheatley
Samantha Wheatley is my name & I am so glad you’re here! I am an advocate for simplicity and mindfulness + finding peace within. When we have these things we are then able to open our hearts and experience joy – the purpose of life! Helping my clients, I do this through offering natural solutions to support their physical, emotional and spiritual health and wellbeing. I love to teach individuals and classes of people (either in person or online) who want support with anxiety, stress, sleep problems, digestive issues, tension, pain and other common issues. Using essential oils in conjunction with my intuitive and mindset coaching skills I am able to help my clients develop their own individual practice to lead them towards self-love through self-care (something we all lack) When we begin to take note and be aware of our physical bodies we can stop our constant thought pattern for a moment and ask ourselves “What do I need?” This process brings us back to our body and our feelings = intuition + knowing + wisdom Armed with this wisdom we can then give ourselves the love and care we need and desire. Endless Oceans by Stephen Fearnley
“Love rests on no foundation. It is an endless ocean, with no beginning or end.” Jalaluddin Mevlana Rumi While meditating on a composition specifically to start the new year, the words endless ocean came to mind. I immediately thought that it was from a Rumi quote and of course it was. I don’t have a photographic memory but more an instinctual one. Practising the creative arts all my life, I fully trust the ‘random’ thoughts and impulses that well up from ‘beneath’. This relationship is central to everything I do these days. It never lets me down and is usually instant, rarely presenting as “writer’s block”. It never used to be like this. It was more spasmodic and there was a distrust I had, probably from a western style education that treats ‘the creative’ with suspicion probably because it cant be measured. Of course, the endless oceans that we are, can easily entertain structure and measurement. There actually isn’t any conflict whatsoever here but it has taken me years of trust and practise to get there, to instantly “pull a rabbit out of my hat” as my wife so often says these days. Wibbly-Wobbly, Timey-Wimey-Stuff by Stephen Fearnley
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, non-subjective viewpoint, it’s more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey… stuff. The Tenth Doctor Who This month’s Ten Minute meditation is all about slowing down time…so you have more of it! Its a playful meditation (a shorter version of the 20 minute weekly meditation) and is aimed at loosening your restrictions about how you perceive and move through time. If you think you have more of it, then you will probably feel more relaxed about things! We all know time is relative. Sometimes it drags ,sometimes it speeds along. We also (supposedly) operate in a 3D world negotiating TIME which is (supposedly) 4D. No wonder it gets away from us! I have been using the imagery in this meditation for years and its my go-to if I’m feeling overwhelmed by simple day to day stuff: It’s a good lunch-break meditation! I hope you enjoy the extra space it gives you. Steve Stephen Fearnley is an award-winning filmmaker, artist and composer. Evolving Circles by Stephen Fearnley
When I was composing this music I was surprised to see a flock of King Parrots arrive to have a listen. Im not sure if it was the high bell-like sounds or the rainforest birds I’d mixed in. Sometimes the parrots turn up when I play the piano (hopefully as an appreciative audience – but then again my poodle Edith occasionally starts howling when I sing- so Im really not sure… ) Calligraphy circles, spiralling DNA as well as water vortices, are the images I had in mind for this composition. Ive definately been influenced by a doco I saw on Youtube recently on Viktor Schauberger and his largely unknown work in studying water and how his systems are being used for ecosystem rehabilitation. Fascinating and deeply inspiring. This is definately a headphone-listen as there are some delicious low notes – deep resonating cello sounds (They come in after about 10 minutes and continue on and off throughout the rest of the track.)
