Breaking Up With Luck – Pre-Session
This episode was originally broadcast Feb 3, 2016 What’s luck got to do with it? Do you believe you’re lucky? Unlucky? Or is luck irrelevant in a world where you’ve claimed your mastery as a manifester of what you want to bring into your life? Listen to this week’s presession chat to hear what we have to say on the subject with our usual mix of reverence, irreverence, insights and random strangeness – and then decide: Are you ready to break up with luck? About our Pre-Sessions: Every week, for 15 minutes or so before we began our group meditation broadcast, we opened the mics so that our members tuning in for the session could listen in while we talked about what was going on for us personally and spiritually, and what trends we were noticing. It was a fun way to get everyone settled and prepared for the journey to come, as well as a way to connect with us energetically. The Gift of Gratitude – by Stephen Fearnley
“GRATITUDE is SO VERY therapeutic .The world changes around you…” This month’s composer’s choice is called Gratitude. Im just about to start a practise-led Masters of Philosophy at Notre Dame University Sydney. A practise led masters is based on, in my case, a 50% practical component which will culminate in an exhibition of works and/or a musical performance and recording. Of course I have to come up with an idea/theme to pursue which will sustain a whole lot of investigation and nuts and bolts work. My mind has been racing : Will I investigate the negative space or the “void” in western and eastern art ? Or what about delving into the world of western and eastern mystics and how prayer and meditation have been explored ? What about cymatics, musical frequency and sacred geometry… Just a few topics out of many that are knocking on my brain door… In our live broadcast a few weeks ago ( go here to listen to the precession chat ) I discussed a dream I had where there was a little black spot on my right eye which I could not remove. Being a big Jung fan I knew that my subconscious was sending aThe Gift of Gratitude – by Stephen Fearnley
Future Self Contact – Pre-Session
This episode was originally broadcast Jan 27, 2016 We had so much fun with this one! Inspired by a mystical experience in childhood, Stephen brought in the idea of contacting our future selves: reaching out to them for help in a troubled present. From those noble beginnings it was a free-for-all freefall into “wooooo!” ah-ha moment noises, visions of Stephen shaving his head, Naomi C sleeping on a bed of plastic bags and Naomi J just accepting that bags of cash can appear on the side of the road with notes saying “It’s okay to keep this because it’s not stolen”. And yet, somehow amidst the laughter and silly voices we came up with an empowering idea for reaching into the past and helping your past self… About our Pre-Sessions: Every week, for 15 minutes or so before we began our group meditation broadcast, we opened the mics so that our members tuning in for the session could listen in while we talked about what was going on for us personally and spiritually, and what trends we were noticing. Busted Myths and Busted Tech – Pre-Session
This episode was originally broadcast Jan 20, 2016 The theme of today’s pre-session could be “getting it right”. The intention was to talk about getting meditation right and to bust some prevalent myths in the process – but the Universe wanted to see how we’d cope trying to do that WHILE not getting the tech of a Facebook Live broadcast right. (D’oh!) So, there’s some fumbling and swearing (maybe Steve’s edited out the swearing lol) as we try repeatedly to get the live stream to record our chat, which is always fun, and yet me managed to have a meaningful discussion! Because isn’t that what meditation is about, truly, anyway? Finding a meaningful connection amidst the chaos of imperfection that constantly wants to interfere?… About our Pre-Sessions: Every week, for 15 minutes or so before we began our group meditation broadcast, we opened the mics so that our members tuning in for the session could listen in while we talked about what was going on for us personally and spiritually, and what trends we were noticing.
