Slow Light in A – by Stephen Fearnley

For this months composer’s choice, Slow Light in A , I’ve once again returned to the Australian landscape for my inspiration: The south-east coastline of Tasmania , Australia, is windswept and wild and even when the sea is being whipped-up into a freezing-spray, one can still see the coastline for miles… Far-sight and long plateaus of purples with swells of blue and highlights in ochre. Calming, unwinding and horizontal landforms- the biggest skies you ever did see. ‘Slow-light’ because even with a gale blowing the clouds and shafts of sun are somehow moving slo-mo in this vast panorama. Each interaction never repeating – always slightly different, like a biosphere made of sound waves which you sit inside off and simply, easily, relax. ‘A’ is traditionally regarded as the key for stimulating the third eye. Summer Solstice, Winter Solstice – Pre-Session

This episode was originally broadcast Jun 24, 2016 In this pre-session we straddle the equator to discuss the meanings of an expectations for how to manage/cope with/survive this powerful whammy of a combo: Summer Solstice if you’re in the northern hemisphere and Winter Solstice if you’re in the southern hemisphere, ‘downundah’ with us! Listen in to hear how Naomi C describes the experience of Northerners as “the peak of the party”, find out what going inward to face the shadow means for us Southerners… About our Pre-Sessions: Every week, for 15 minutes or so before we began our group meditation broadcast, we opened the mics so that our members tuning in for the session could listen in while we talked about what was going on for us personally and spiritually, and what trends we were noticing. It was a fun way to get everyone settled and prepared for the journey to come, as well as a way to connect with us energetically. Cherry Blossoms – by Stephen Fearnley

The inspiration for this month’s Composer’s Choice music download was unavoidable – it’s spring here and the blossoms are out. Gazillions of them. And I’m looking at my orchard and thinking: Goodness me what a lot of fruit is on its way!  Pears, apples, cherries and peaches. So much to do, I’m going to have to learn how to preserve and bottle them, maybe I’ll just take my share and leave the rest to the birds and the worms to replenish the soil…Maybe I’ll just sit here instead and compose some music for One Mind Live… There are a few elements worth mentioning about this month’s music, aptly called “Cherry Blossoms”. It’s unabashedly Asian-sounding – which forms a large part of my musical and visual aesthetic anyway (a psychic once told me that this life was my ‘first western incarnation’ and I thought at the time, “No wonder I love sushi so much!”). However that could explain the reccurring lucid dreams I’ve had since childhood, of living in a Tibetan monastery….hmmmm, but that’s another story… I always start a composition for OML by sourcing my mood or state. I can never compose when distracted or grumpy, though I can oftenCherry Blossoms – by Stephen Fearnley

The Blood Moon Discussion – Pre-Session

This episode was originally broadcast Sep 25, 2015 WOW. This special eclipse, Blood Moon, Wave X event and meditation blew us away. Naomi Carling explained why we’re feeling all kinds of physical, emotional and mental upheaval in our lives and in our bodies – and what to do about it! It was welcome info for Stephen and myself, as we’ve been rolling with this stuff for weeks and were VERY happy to hear it’s leading to something amazing for us…and for the world. Tune in to see if it applies to YOU… About our Pre-Sessions: Every week, for 15 minutes or so before we began our group meditation broadcast, we opened the mics so that our members tuning in for the session could listen in while we talked about what was going on for us personally and spiritually, and what trends we were noticing.
