Into Nature – by Lorrie Kazan

My existence is defined by transformation and magic. But not magic that’s really about trickery or sleight of hand. Magic that underlies the true nature of our being. Magic where we remember we’re made from star dust. Magic where we create a new life by changing our thoughts.
We need to feel connected to something deeper, to each other, to the earth, to the sea, to all that is. We feel it in meditation but so often we forget that feeling when we’re in our everyday life. Reality.
We yearn for the altered state. Some people say that we’re always in an altered state and meditation is the time we’re really not altered but on point.
Wisdom says that we come into this human realm to combine heaven and earth and yet once we’re down here, we come down with forgetting. We love sunrises and sunsets and glorious natural realms but we forget that we’re part of it, or it’s part of us.
Extraordinary isn’t a word we often use about ourselves. We’re all-powerful beings who forget how to access the operating manual. Meditation reminds us that the operating manual is within us just waiting to break free. Channeling and psychic readings also remind me.
This morning, while in a mood, I opened my own book to a random page.  I needed higher wisdom. A short angelic phrase to set my thinking back to wholeness, acceptance, love…Because the words that were in my head were dusty, negative media-driven ideas that seemed true if I’d never seen the sky streaked with wild orange light, or walked along a sacred path beneath a canopy of trees.
The “For Today” mantra on that random page said “Let your body soak up positive thoughts and vibrations like a sponge drinking in healing waters.” Breathing in this simple phrase began to generate a healing vibration and turned around a mood  — thought form — that was stopping me from moving forward.
Meditation, tapping, healing words…and music, what more could you need?
I hear sad stories in my work. Clients are convinced and try to convince me about how their life is, how life is, and why they have to settle for a certain way of being that’s painful and unloving. They can prove it. We can all prove why those negative voices in our heads are true.
But I live in the miraculous. It’s intrinsic to what I do and it’s what I’ve used to turn my own misfortunes into stepping stones. Those voices in our heads can lead us right down to the bottom. But the miraculous is still waiting.
One of my clients wrote. “I know how electricity works around you. Last time I was there, in person, a coaster with a bear paw suddenly appeared where there’d only been tarot cards. I just love that.”
We all have miracles but how do you live between them…in the times when your mind says all is dead or all is dollars and cents? Can we kickstart them? I believe we can. It’s the intention behind the meditations that came through for One Mind Live.
I hope that OMLers will let this 10-minute meditation guide them into higher states of consciousness as it leads them on a journey through the vibratory frequencies of color, and the elements of earth. That’s a lofty way of describing a simple guided trip?
As to my aforementioned book, it was designed to carry such a healing vibration that people could even leave it on the night stand and have it resonate health, like a beautiful gem wafting goodness, as if you had a glowing emerald within your possessions reminding you to “pick me, pick me.”
