This months composer’s choice ‘Clouds Passing By’
has been written for you to sing to…
Start for 3 minutes.
Then try for 5.
If you go for 15 minutes you will feel enlivened !
Winter skies here. Cold dry westerly winds. Happily rugged up at home watching the clouds scud across the sky and reviewing this months’ composer’s choice Clouds Passing By with my headphones on.
The Key of G. Throat Chakra. Mixolydian scale. Sounds fancy .
So why the throat chakra ? We all know that ancient and modern energy medicine has clearly pointed out that an imbalance in the 5th chakra can manifest all kinds of throat related maladies. It is also the zone of self expression and speaking the truth .So what does this actually mean ?
The throat is an amplifier of sound. It emanates compression waves in space traditionally associated with truth, freedom of expression, with speaking your will – as well as manifesting your will. Sound organises and disorganises matter.
It does not require many words to speak the truth
Chief Joseph, Nez Perce (1840-1904)
This months composer’s choice Clouds Passing By has been written for you to sing to.
Here’s what to do:
1: This is not a singing test.
2: Did I say this is not a singing test?
3: Sit quietly listening to Clouds Passing By and try making “Aaaah“ and “Hmmmm” sounds. You will find the prime drone-note of G eesy-peesy because all the notes in the music spiral around and return to G. Nothing tricky. Just “Aaaah“ and “Hmmmm” sounds.
4: Start off by trying it for 3 minutes.
5: Then, next time, try it for 5 minutes .
6: If you go for 15 minutes you’ll feel amazeballs!
This is about opening the Throat Chakra. Observe your thoughts, like “ I feel a little silly doing this” but just keep doing it anyway.
This practise is to spin the blue chakra through vibration. It will enervate this particular energy vortex and will enliven your words with a frequency that people will receive as authentic. It will imbue your verbal expression with grounded-ness.
It will give form to your spoken intent. It will shape, according to your choice of words, the world you live in.
Have a go and enjoy.
