Is It OK To Receive? – Pre-Session

This episode was originally broadcast March 24, 2017

Why is receiving so hard? Have we been made to feel guilty for wanting to receive, to the point we struggle to even accept what comes graciously our way from loved ones (love) or the world (physical comforts) after managing to overcome our manifestational blocks to the point those things finally arrive? Naomi C. has a theory about how receiving has been tagged to the feminine for eons and that’s why. Steve thinks it’s a problem of buried feelings of unworthiness. Naomi J thinks it’s post-survival cultural conditioning in the form of religious edicts. Listen to our pre-session chat and tell us who you think is right – or what we’ve missed…

About our Pre-Sessions: Every week, for 15 minutes or so before we began our group meditation broadcast, we opened the mics so that our members tuning in for the session could listen in while we talked about what was going on for us personally and spiritually, and what trends we were noticing. It was a fun way to get everyone settled and prepared for the journey to come, as well as a way to connect with us energetically. Compliments are what I find hard to recieve. I love telling somone how fab their outfit is or how nice they look. If somone pays me a compliment, I usually say something like oh! I had this old thing for ages, instead of just saying thankyou. I know I’m not alone here, I’ve heard others do the same, Why is this????

I know what you mean!! I’ve never really looked into this. I have been told “just accept the compliment” and so I have learned to do that OUTWARDLY but INWARDLY I’m squirming!!
